Distance’s landmark – easy access from the North and from the South :

 

Lyon – La Grave : 200 km – 2 h

 Paris – La Grave : 600 km – 7 h

Genève – La Grave : 330 km – 3 h  Turin – La Grave : 175 km – 2h45
Marseille – La Grave : 300 km – 3h10  Briançon – La Grave : 38 km – 40′

By car :

Highway Lyon – Grenoble : direction Sisteron then exit 7 direction Briançon. Then drive along Vizille, go to Bourg d’Oisans and 25km from here, you will be at La Grave. The way Grenoble-La Grave is 75km long and lasts 75 minutes.

Highway Turin – France (Fréjus) : exit Oulx, direction Sestrière-Briançon. Mongenèvre-Briançon’s col then Lautaret’s col and 10km below there is La Grave. Turin-Briançon-La Grave : 175km = 2h45.

Highway Aix-Marseille-Sisteron-Gap : exit at the end of the temporary highway near Gap (turn to the right to cross Tallard). Take the National Road on the right to cross Briançon and then Lautaret’s col.

 

By plane / airports :

Grenoble St Geoirs : the less practical solution but the nearest (95km)

Lyon St-Exupéry : at 2h of La Grave

Genève : at 3h of la Grave

Turin : at 175km = 2h45

Tip : if you are at least 5, you should take a taxi or rent a car

 

By train :

2 train stations : Grenoble TGV – Paris at 3h of La Grave

Or Briançon station (not very practical)
